A few words for TeX beginers on using BibTeX when creating documents or papers which contain literature references.

A way to create a bibligraphy database in the form of a .bib file will be demonstrated—with types of records and fields explained. The jurabib package and the makebst program will serve as the basis for introducing LaTeX packages defining bibliography styles with the aim to show how a custom style might be built. BibTeX utility programs like ebib, JabRef and tkbibtex will be introduced
